SkillsUSA is a student service organization dedicated to providing highly skilled and well prepared employees for the future. Members attend leadership conferences and legislative awareness activities. Skill competitions are the main focus of many members and numerous opportunities are available to compete in skilled trade and leadership competitions. Contests can be at the local, state and national level, with national contests taking place in Kansas City, Mo. each June. Many SkillsUSA members are highly sought after by major employers across the state and country.
Some of our local activities include field trips to area business and industry, college visits, food drive, season of sharing and assisting with the coordination of the Iowa Industrial Technology Expo held each year at Southeast Polk..
