Southeast Polk's mascot is the RAM, which is an acronym taken from Runnells, Altoona and Mitchellville - the three original communities with high schools that consolidated to make the Southeast Polk school district in 1961. |
Over the past five years, the district has averaged 219.6 new students per year, making Southeast Polk the 13th largest school district in the state of Iowa.
The central campus - consisting of the senior high, new junior high, sixth grade building, district office and bus maintenence facility - is located in the geographic center of the district, with eight elementary schools located around the perimeter of the district.
Central Place Family Resource Center provides services for students and families in the district. All Southeast Polk families may use Central Place services. Call 266-6795 for more information.
If you would like more information about the Southeast Polk Community School District, please call the District Office at 515-967-4294.
