Sports Physicals Update

In the past, Southeast Polk has offered free athletic physicals to students due to the generosity of medical professionals who volunteered their time to the program.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer these services for the 2012-13 school year.

Options for free athletic physicals:  Central Place offers free medical care provided by a pediatric nurse practitioner from Blank Children’s Hospital. Call Central Place, 266-6795.

Des Moines University will hold Free School and Sports Physical Fair on July 28, 8am -2 pm.  Contact Melissa Wilder at melissa.wilder@dmu.edu or call 515-271-1041.

As always, your family physician is your best place for continued care of your child.

Take a Look at Leading High Schools

The district will embark on a comprehensive study of our high school in the months to come. To prepare, staff is taking a look at exemplary high schools in our state and nation. View the US News Educaiton Report and see what the country’s best schools are doing to raise student achievement.

Traffic Flow
Parents we need your assistance with alleviating congestion on the east side of our high school and improving safety for all. We ask that if you are bringing your student to school or picking your student up after school, that you do so on the west side of the high school.
