Easy Instructions to Set Up a Twitter Account

  1. Go to www.twitter.com.
  2. Click on the GREEN BUTTON that says SIGN UP NOW.
  3. Fill in the boxes.
  4. On the next screen click SKIP THIS STEP at the bottom of the screen.
  5. The next screen says "Look who else is here..." at the top. Find the little box to the left of the words SELECT ALL and make sure it is UN-CHECKED. After you make sure, then click the GREEN FINISH BUTTON.
  6. Next, you're on the main screen. Go up to the address bar where you normally type in web addresses and type in www.twitter.com/sepolkrams.
  7. You are now on the SEPOLKRAMS page. Click the GREY FOLLOW BUTTON just below the RAM logo.
  8. Click on SETTINGS in the upper right.
  9. This is where you can personalize your account. Go to the DEVICES tab and enter your cell phone number.
  10. Click the little box under cell phone number so that it is okay for Twitter to send text messages to you.
  11. CLICK SAVE.
  12. You now have to verify your cell phone number by sending the code they give you as a text message to the phone # 40404. This will register your phone with your account and allow you to receive our SEPOLKRAMS updates on your phone. You should receive a text message back from Twitter within seconds verifying your number.
  13. Remember, anytime you make changes in your setting to click SAVE.
  14. The last thing you should do is modify your settings so you don't get annoying text messages in the middle of the night. You can do this on the DEVICES tab after you get the verification text from Twitter.
  15. Make sure the DEVICE UPDATES drop down menu is ON and click SAVE.
  16. Pick the hours you do not want to receive text message updates and make sure the little box is checked that says TURN OFF UPDATES DURING THESE HOURS.
  17. CLICK SAVE AND YOU'RE DONE!
